| Fund-Raising Dinner and Street Collection, Raises £32,500 for Asia Tsunami Appeal Final Count for Money Raised 02 February 2005 We held another successful Tsunami appeal fund raising dinner at The New Hong Kong, on 01 February 2005. This time we managed to raised another £18,055.00 for the appeal, and the results were very fruitful indeed. Raymond Chan, the chairman of the Manchester China Town Business Association thanks everyone who attended the event for their generous support, and announced that the grand total is £33,000 The evening's exciting program included a song by Mr Alan San ping Chan, which raised total of £5,000. Also Chinese opera and karaoke, lucky draws and of course, delicious food. The organisers was very heartened by the number of people , who expressed their interest and their generosity. Also, We are immensely grateful to The New Emperor restaurant And The New Hong Kong restaurant for their supporting our appeal in this magnificent way. |

| Cheque presentation Ceremony The Manchester China Town Business Association would held a Tsunami cheque presentation Ceremony. The presentation will take place at the New Emperor Chinese Restaurant, on Friday 18 February at 2:30 p.m. The MCTBA chairman and the fellow Committee members will hand over a cheque and Cash total of £33,000 to the Red Cross organisation for the Tsunami relief.
