The China Earthquake Fundraising Events
Following a very successful fundraising last Sunday(£11,500) , Manchester China Town Business Association, 419
Chinese Students Group and Manchester Oriental Organisations Alliance will be holding a second event in
Chinatown this Sunday
25th May 2008, from 11:30am to 5:00 pm.
£10,000 for the Chinese Earth Quake victims from last week collections already presented to The
Consulate General of China in Manchester on May 19th.
The other £1,500 for the Burmese disaster,  also delivered to the British Red Cross respectively in
Manchester on 20th May 2008.
Chinatown pavilion at 2:28 pm on Sunday held a One Minute Silence to mourn the victims of the massive earthquake
that hit Sichuan province  .
25th May 2008 (Sunday), from 11:30am to 5:00 pm
26th May 2008 (Monday), from 8:00 pm to 2:00 am
Grosvenor Casino, George St.  will be hosting a buffet dinner for the earthquake relief efforts in China.
The event offers Chinese & International buffet for just £5 per person.
The cost of the food will be covered by Grosvenor Casino.
All proceeds will be donated to the
Consulate General of China in Manchester to benefit earthquake victims in China.

Manchester Chinese Golf Association Awards Presentation Dinner held at the Ocean Treasure Chinses
Restaurant, in Middleton.
Also raising funds to help victims of the devastating earthquake in China.
28th May 2008 (Wednesday), from 6:30 pm-11:00 pm
the Ocean Treasure Chinses Restaurant are hosting a charity presentation dinner evening.
Ticket @ £30 per-person.
5th June 2008 (Thursday), from 7:00 pm-11:00 pm
Joint fundraising venues at The Gourmet Buffet, Suite One Above Booths Supermarket
New Market Street, Chorley, PR7 1DB. and
BUFFET @ PRESTON : 126 Friargate, Preston, Lancashire, PR1 2EE
All proceeds of both restaurants is to be donated to aid relief efforts for earthquake victims.

Manchester Oriental Organisations Alliance
Collection in "The Feast” - a family picnic project in PlattField Park, Fallowfield, Manchester.
Friends of Platt Fields have very kindly allowed us launch a Wishing Tree.  
MOOA and Red Cross will set up stalls for people to write their wishes on a strip of plastic and throw it onto
the Tree until it hangs and stays there.  We will also be collecting donations throughout the 3 days and
all proceeds are earmarked to go to the Chinese and Burmese Aid Fund.

The China Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe (CDPPAT) first time here in Mancheste. The dance is
performed by 21 deaf and mute dancers.
