THE 4th  INAUGURATION CEREMONY of MCTBA 2004-2006
- September 20 2004 -
The Inauguration ceremony marks the beginning of the Session 2004 - 2006 of Manchester China Town Business Association. It was our honour to have Deputy Consul General Wu of the People's Republic of China , Lord Mayor of City of Manchester Cllr.Tom O'Callaghan and Former Deputy Leader Cllr. Kathleen Robinson  to be our Guests of Honour to witness the Inauguration Ceremony. We were greatly benefited from their generous sharing, and we would like to once again thank you for their continuous supports to MCTBA.
Last but not least, we would like to thank Mr. William Robinson and Kingdom International Artists for their performance and  the helpers. It is only with their generous help, our ceremony could be smoothly held.

China Earthquake2008
12 May 2008 China's deadliest earthquake in modern history struck Sichuan province.
The earthquake was powerful enough to be felt throughout most of China. Many children were buried under the rubble of their schools.
Rainy weather and poor logistics thwarted efforts by relief troops who walked for hours over rock, debris and mud  in hopes of reaching the worst-hit area of an earthquake that killed nearly 40,000 in China, over 500 hundred thousand are homeless.
MCTBA organised a few very successful fundraising activities and has raised more then £30,000 to help quake victims.
